Hats for the Homeless

The program is a collaboration of High Five Threads and Traverse City hat designer, Bradley Beckwith.
Hats to be purchased and given are both constructed entirely of locally sourced, clean, repurposed or sustainable material.
Hats for purchase include a variety of genuine fur that comes from old coats, hats, vests, etc. that are in unwearable condition, but still contain high quality, usable pieces of fur. Options for the outer shell may include repurposed wool, cashmere, or canvas. Inner lining is constructed mostly of inner linings from jackets.
The donated hats for those in need are designed for function. They are constructed of a more durable, water resistant, outer shell and inner lining, made from repurposed canvas and either a poly or down fill for maximum warmth.
